Terms of use and disclaimer

Foothills Trades is a directory website based in Alberta.
Last updated: October 8, 2026.

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

Information only, not an endorsement

Foothills Trades is a directory of home-services contractors (plumbers, gasfitters, electricians, HVAC and sewer and drain) serving Okotoks, Foothills County, High River and Diamond Valley. Listings are for information only. Including a business is not a recommendation, endorsement or guarantee of its work, licensing, insurance or prices. The order of listings doesn’t rank quality.

What “Not yet verified” means

“Not yet verified” means we haven’t checked a trade certificate for that business. It doesn’t mean the business is unqualified, only that we haven’t confirmed it. A “Verified” label always shows the date we checked. Certificates, licences and business details can change after that date. See how verification works.

Permit and inspection information isn’t advice

Pages about permits and inspections summarize public information and link to the official municipal and provincial sources. They are general information, not legal, building-code or professional advice, and they may be out of date. Always confirm permit requirements with the municipality or permit issuer before you start work.

Hiring decisions are yours

You’re responsible for choosing and hiring a contractor. Before you hire, we suggest that you:

We aren’t a party to any agreement between you and a contractor, and we aren’t responsible for their work, conduct or charges.

No warranty

We try to keep the directory accurate, but we provide the site “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted access. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Foothills Trades is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from relying on its information.

Business names and trademarks

Business names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. We use firm names only to identify the businesses listed. Listing a business doesn’t mean it is affiliated with us or sponsors us.

Corrections and removal

If you run a listed business and want a correction or removal, use the contact form (each listing page has a “Request a correction” link). See the privacy policy for the steps.

Open data and map credits

These licences don’t mean the governments, OpenStreetMap or Protomaps endorse this site.

We link to contractors’ websites, chamber of commerce directories and government sources. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

Our content

Unless a page says otherwise, the site’s text and design are © 2026 Foothills Trades. Open data we reuse stays under its own licence. Don’t copy the directory in bulk, or scrape it automatically, without permission.
